I met Jenna and her husband Tyson a few years ago while we were both walking our dogs in our neighborhood! Fast forward almost 2 years now, and they've got the cutest little buddy joining them on their neighborhood shenanigans - Bishop!
Mom & Me Mini's are coming up, so I asked Jenna if they'd like to model for me - she said yes! So we took a trip to a neighborhood nearby and found ourselves on this adorable little pond. Being around Jenna and Bishop will make ANYONE smile! They radiate this happiness that is so genuine.
Bishop was so inquisitive & fun during our session, taking his time to check out the ducks, admiring the water, enjoying the fresh air and playing games with his mama. And Jenna. She's one of those mothers you watch and strive to be like. So patient and encouraging - taking the time to stop and talk, or kindly explain even the most seemingly mundane of things. Mundane to everyone except the little, curious minds that are toddlers. Watching the two of them interact was the best. And being able to photograph such candid, authentic moments was pretty cool, too.
That's what I want you to experience when you book a session with me. I know being in front of the camera can be awkward, but I strive to get those personalities shining through. I want you to have fun! I want you to have the most beautiful memories of yourself and your family, exactly as you are in this moment. Exactly as you are today.
But why not? Why not just do it later. Well, later is NOW! People will tell you over and over that the days are long but the years are short, and don't blink - they grow up so fast. I know it's cliche. But I don't think you truly appreciate that statement until you have children.
But y'all, seriously. Don't blink.
Remember the wonder & excitement in their eyes.
The way their body nestles so perfectly up to yours.
The way their deepest belly laughs fill the air.
Document it all, so you can remember the beautiful moments that are slipping by oh-so quickly.
